This policy explains what information Absolute Trucking Inc (“Absolute Trucking”, “we”, “us”) collects through absolutetrucking.net and our text messaging program, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, company, email address, phone or mobile number, home city and state, driving experience, and the details you include in quote requests, job applications, contact messages and text message sign-ups.
- Driver documents: if you apply to drive, the images of your commercial driver’s license and DOT medical card that you upload, and the names and phone numbers of the references you list.
- Messages: replies you send to our text messages, including photos of delivery paperwork.
- Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider records standard information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To respond to quote requests and provide transportation services.
- To review job applications, verify driver qualifications as required by FMCSA regulations, contact applicants and call their references.
- To send drivers who have opted in delivery confirmations and proof-of-delivery requests by text message.
- To answer questions and keep records required to operate a motor carrier.
Mobile numbers and text messaging
We collect your mobile number to send the text messages you agreed to receive. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. See our SMS Terms for details.
When we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business (such as our website host and text messaging provider), and only so they can perform those services for us; when required by law; or to protect our rights and safety. These providers may not use your information for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal and regulatory record-keeping requirements, then delete or anonymise it.
